The Maquoketa Valley Dollars for Scholars held a successful fundraising event Friday, January 30th at Bulicek's Landing in Delhi. Board members Keith Kramer, Doug Tuetken and Steve Dircks' bartending skills were tested as they served a large crowd at Bulicek's that evening! Steve Dircks, MVDFS Board member stated, "We had great hosts and a great atmosphere; it was a wonderful evening all around. Not only did we raise money but we had the opportunity to tell our story to some new people! It was a success in every way." The guest bartending night was all in good fun, but also held for a great cause. Proceeds from the night were donated to scholarship funding for the benefit of the Maquoketa Valley graduating class of 2015. Nancy Kintzle, co-owner of Bulicek's Landing with Greg Bulicek, noted, "I am so proud to be a part of this community! Such great people!" She also stated, "I'll put the guys on the schedule for next Friday!"

Bulicek's provided a perfect atmosphere for the event and Bill Stock provided the musical entertainment played throughout the evening. Keith Kramer commented, "We would like to thank Bulicek's for their support of our fundraising efforts - the evening was filled with a lot of fun and many laughs! We thoroughly enjoyed working with the Bulicek's team. The three of us were able to raise an amount well beyond the goals we had set out for the night!"" The board members were able to raise a total of $1400.00 for the Maquoketa Valley Dollars for Scholars. Keith Kramer also stated, "We look forward to hosting more fundraising events such as this one in the near future throughout communities in Delaware County."
